It's that time of year again.. Spoonflower's Annual Tea Towel Calendar Contest time, that is. Like you didn't know ;) I'm excited to share that my design placed in the top 10 this year. This is the most anticipated and competitive contest of the year and I'm so so thankful to everyone who voted! This design is available in my Spoonflower shop, and if sewing isn't quite your thing, don't worry - I'm with you, it's also available as a pre-made tea towel on Roostery. These make wonderful holiday gifts and the Roostery products are such nice quality! AND.. if fabric isn't your thing, we have 11x17 paper versions right here in the shop! Anyways, I hope you love this one. I really do - terrariums are my jam lately. xo
The studio has been busy lately preparing for autumn - our very favorite time of the year. The colors, the smell of the leaves and trips to the cider mill, nothing beats it. To celebrate our fall love, we have 60 new fabrics now available on spoonflower. Sixty! Here are a few of our favs for autumn + Halloween.
Aren't those little ghosts just the cutest? Shop them all here.

Yesterday I found out that I am the lucky winner of the Spoonflower 2016 Tea Towel Calendar contest! With over 300 entires and some fierce competition, I am grateful and honored to have won this year's contest. I kind of can't believe it still. Thank you so much to everyone who voted, commented and/or purchased. It means the world to me!
The fabric can be purchased from my Spoonflower shop individually or as part of the top 10 bundle, where you get all top 10 winners' designs. They are all beautiful and would make great christmas gifts for friends and family (basic sewing skills required - something I really need to learn).

This year one of my goals was to improve my pattern design skills. One of the main ways I've been working towards this is by participating in the weekly Spoonflower design contest. Every week is a different subject matter giving me the chance to create a wide range of patterns. This week's contest is extra special because Spoonflower teamed up with Moda Fabrics for the annual Fabric8 design challenge. With over 800 entires and I was lucky enough to be one of 100 semi-finalists. Of those 100, 8 finalists will be chosen to create a whole collection based on their submitted design. And those 8 will be narrowed down to one winner. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that I get the chance to be one of the finalists. I would so love to create a collection that has the chance to be picked up by Moda. Below, I created mock-ups of a tote bag and pillow for some inspiration of what this pattern can be turned into. Now I just need to learn how to sew.
I've been experimenting with pattern design lately and today my very first collection is launching for sale on Spoonflower. It is available in fabric, wallpaper and gift wrap! How fun is that?
Below is a peek into my process from my sketchbook and an up-close shot of one of the patterns. Check out all of the designs on Spoonflower for more details and ordering information.
